In temperate zones, probably the most commonly grown ornamental species is Hibiscus syriacus, the common garden Hibiscus, also known in some areas as the "Rose of Althea" or "Rose of Sharon" (but not to be confused with the unrelated Hypericum calycinum, also called "Rose of Sharon").So I must be careful and not confuse the "Rose of Sharon" with the "Rose of Sharon." I'll do my best. Curse my ignorance of binomial nomenclature! For the record, the picture is neither a Rose of Sharon or a Rose of Sharon, rather a bunch of wires I shall name Cablus Televisium.
