apres le deluge

Special shout out to my Bro and his squeeze who will be here in Sunny Sydney a mere one week from today. Fear not, the rain has stopped and today we are having a cracking Autumn day. Clear blue sky, shorts and t-shirts all round. Sure the morning has a slight chill, but nothing compared to Blighty. So let us hope this weather holds.

Evidence, if any were needed, that the Porsche Poxster is not a real Porker. Strange things were afoot at the Porsche Centre as I climbed down from the bus home from work yesterday; the showroom floor was clear, a screen was up and some serious looing AV equipment surrounded a couple of covered cars. New motor, thought I, so I detoured past the showroom a couple of hours later as I walked the big lump.

Sure enough, the well-heeled suited and booted were sipping the bubbly that the waiters were dispensing. Very nice (wank wank wank.) In the street outside the showroom I counted seventeen Porkers. Five Cayennes, a Cayman and eleven nine-elevens. I also spotted an Audi Q7 and a Maserati. But no Porsche Boxsters...Maybe no Poxster owners had been invited? Surely thry could not all have been cutting hair?
