Kiama

I'm starting to find it embarrassing to answer the question "how does Alex sleep?" It's one of those questions parents and non-parents ask. Everyone is interested in how much sleep new parents get. Sal and I get loads. Shit loads. I mean we get an indecent, obscene amount of sleep by new-parent standards. And no one wants to hear that. People want to hear about feeds every two hours, about NoDoze and coffee addiction, about red-eyed zombie parents drifting through a blur of nappies and chapped nipples. Sorry. AJ sleeps from 7pm until 6am. She may murmur once or twice through the night, and occasionally wake; but that is the exception. Once again, sorry. Especially to DJ and Jo, who we were staying with and whose kids, now two and half and three and a half, still wake a few times each night.

The afternoon and evening of Friday we chatted and caught up and Sal and I got jealous of their hosue and its fantastic ocean view. Amazing what you can get if you live a couple of hours outside of Sydney. Ah well..Jo cooked a lovely dinner, we had a glas of wine and headed to bed.

On Saturday morning I got a free pass to go for a run once Sal and AJ were set. Pretty straightforward. They stayed in the lounge room to watch the sun come up over the ocean while I headed for Saddleback Mountain. The route is mapped here.

...back later, 90 mins on Skype and I've had enough of this for a while...

Fucking Firefox. No idea why, but it has been unreliable shit for a few weeks. I just wrote a load of stuff about my morning run and the fucking thing crashed before I took an opportunity to publish. Bollocks, I'm off to walk the dogs. I'll try again later.
