a day without a run

Sal headed off to Brisvegas at silly o clock so I was on daddy daycare duty. Day started as with most others, little lady waking me a little before 5am. We said a quick bye to Sal at 5:30 and then headed out to the park with the dogs. Little lady is now about 14kg, so when we get there I dump the pack on the floor and let her have a little run around, which the last two days has been more stand-clinging-to-dad's-leg than runaround, but it gives my aging back a bit of a rest.

Back home via the top of Flat Rock Gully, where we point out trees and birds. AJ can now identify at least the following plants...red and blue gum, pine tree, paper-bark, jacaranda, bottle-brush, palm tree, jasmine and umbrella reed. Birds include pelican, ibis, lorikeet, cockatoo, pigeon, galah, magpie, crow, heron and mynah. She's already correcting me.

A quick change and it was onto the pushbike to take little lady to daycare. She loves the bike. It is one of the words Sal and I have to spell to each other instead of say, unless we are sure she'll be o the b-i-k-e. Otherwise we have to contend with bike, bike, bike, stack-hat, daddy stack-hat, bike, bike, bike. Getting her into the car when she wants to go on the bike can be...challenging.

Anyway, this is a bit of a dull post, so I'll speed it up and wind it up. Cycld to and from work, picking little lady up on the way home for a total distance of a little under 18miles. Add that to the walk of a little under 3miles and I am quite chuffed to see that a day "without exercise" still seem sme spending a bit over three hours travelling a little over 20miles under my own steam.

Yes, I am patting myself on the back. In my mind.
