With the day heading for 30degrees I headed out early with Rowlf. I felt - and still feel - pretty rough so it was straight to Clive Park and back. The big fella had his swim in the high tide harbour while I didn't have a coffee, Sunday opening hours. It was a beautiful morning and a shame didn't feel like doing the long walk.
Coming back up the admittedly steep hill from the water I knew I'd lost my battle against the cold. Gasping for air, head pounding, body aching all over. I got home, dropped the big fella off and headed out for a stock run to get myself over the 501km target I had set for January. Apart from a quick, clenched-fist "yes!" at 5km it was an uninspiring run and I'll not dwell on it.
I'll leave the big summary to tomorrow. Back to sitting on the sofa feeling sorry for myself. Need to keep my reserves of energy for running to the pub tomorrow.

Well done! It will probably take a while for it to sink in but that's an awesome achievement, particularly in the weather you have been describing with such panache!
