Frangipani

What impressed me a little more was the iPad wanting to correct my spelling of blogspot with bloodsport. Twice now. Nice work.

Not much to catch up with really. The cold has entered that really very annoying phase where it is pretty much gone but I stil have the sweats and the snots. In a curious way I'd rather still feel like complete crap if I could then flick a switch and be back to 100%. Nevermind, I think I am well enough to cope as sole parent on duty until Wednesday, what with Sal up north with her folks for the weekend and then working in Brisbane next Monday and Tuesday, now you can get around the streets without a kayak. Being on duty tonight means I cannot attend my work's Annual Bash, which is a shame. I don't like having an excuse to not turn up in case it leads people to think I may have gone when I am, of course, an antisocial bastard.

On kayaks. Big fail this week. Saw a Wilderness Systems Tarpon 130T on eBay at $320 with buy it now at $520. Damn good price, as I am sure the person who did not procrastinate and bought it then will agree. Arse. Still kayak free (and married. Not sure buying a kayak would be PC right now...) So, to cheer myself up I bought some Patagonia Baggies, lightweight shorts. Didn't think you could get Patagonia kit here in Aus, so was pleasantly surprised to find a pair in Paddy Pallin.

It is the second pair of shorts I have bought this week, the other being bought along with 3 pairs of sports socks and a lightweight Inov8 hydration pack with my Janathon winnings. Review to follow. Want to get back into running, should be able to start again on Wednesday, maybe a bit earlier if I feel like taking the piss a bit at work on Monday or Tuesday.

Dull post already, sorry.

Little lady has been in the wars a little this week. Yesterday morning she was bowled over by an exchuberant labrador (some tears) and today got scratched by an over exuberant aierdale puppy (some more tears.) Has she developed any nervousness of dogs? Nope; got home and she wanted the boys in and then decided to terrorize them around the house. Small house, nowhere for the hounds to hide.

Right, that's it before I bore you and me to tears.
