bollocks

Woke up felt awful. Ran feeling awful and got to work feeling awful. Looked at a blister, noticed foot skank, chopped foot skank off of foot - well THAT toe - iffy. So didn't do a second run. Wrote a long angry blog post instead of doing much work. Flickr said it had posted the post here but it didn't. More bollocks. In fact today has just been bollocks and I'm not happy. Ran 11km. Really fucking pissed off that something this small keeps me off the road. Suppose I can take some solace in the fact that I didn't run again and completely fuck myself up. That's it for today.

Feel for you, and hope tomoz things are better. One question, what's a 'foot skank'?

211 miles in June so far (according to the table of doom)is awsome. You can cut down a bit to get your foot better surely! How about a nice recovery in the Royal Botanic Gardens.

I'm back on track! New post to come. Foot skank is, I believe, a planter wart http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plantar_wart. A thick crusty cover of dead skin that I sometimes file down, sometimes chop off and sometimes it doesn't bother me. When it plays up it tends to result in blisters as he crust pushes on the toe. A bit painful, once I'm moving it is usually OK and when I stop it is a bastard. Limited to just the pad of the left little toe and is one of those things that makes you realise just how much you use the seemingly inconsequential backwaters of the human body.
