pinch punch first day of the month

Welcome to Juneathon. Up typically early to take my dog Rowlf for a walk with Alex, now about 16kg, on my back. Straight away my scabby left little-toe started to annoy me, so I shifted weight slightly onto my big toe and that started to ache. Great - my mind is already playing tricks on me. Well, semi-tricks; there is blister on my toe, but I popped that and the feet felt OK once they'd warmed up.

Dog left at home, I dropped Alex over at Kylie's place where Sal and Harry are staying. Only Sal wasn't there. Despite it being 07:30 she'd managed to head out to the sales, between Harry's feeds. Harry was there, as were the grandparents. Oh, should point out that Alex and Harry are my daughters - Alexandra and Harriette. Not sure why we stuffed so many letters into Harry's name, but as we mostly call her Harry it doesn't bother me. Other than when website tell me I've spelt it incorrectly.

Anyway, I did eventually start running. I left the car outside Kylie's and headed from Chatswood  towards my office in the City, a run which I thought would get me a little over 10km and actually got me a little over 11km. Not a big number, but a nice start. I paused a couple of times to take some pics - including one of my current favourite tree, a local Japanese Maple - and didn't pick the pace up too much coming over the bridge. It was a thoroughly pleasant run, and not even the spurt of lightly-blooded-goop coming from my popped blister managed to piss me off.

One down.
