THE LEVELLERS

Th rain on me came pouring down this morning - thank you The Levellers - and it was cold too. Proper stinging cold on my corned-beef legs on the way to work. The weather was hostile enough for me to spare the dog a walk in it. Last night's dinner had been a family sized pack of grain waves and a couple of pints, so it wasn't an altogether heroic trot in this morning. But I got there, didn't lose sensation on my fingers for too long and added the standard 11km.  Oh, I really like this song; the line about "blew his money for the week on a horse called Hope Street" reminds me of my dad.

I had a late-ish lunch today. Back to Malaysia Food House for a big Nasi Goreng (spicy.) Very nice it was too. Not so nice to run home with it onboard though. I crossed the bridge in a bit of a blur, head all over the place. Legs were working though, and I trundled home to clock up another 22km day.

Oo, actually, my head wasn't so fuddled that I didn't notice the moon. A lovely crescent that was sitting in a deep blue sky over the red glow of a sunset behind the mountains. Looked like there were a couple of planets in line with the moon too. Fired up Google SkyMap when I got home but had fail, so I can't tell you what planets they were. Venus and Mars maybe? Oo, maybe Venus and Jupiter?

Just a short one today; Birdman on DVD, Sav Blanc in glass.
