the morning after blog
Yesterday had a spell of stupid windy. Blowing bits from trees, knocking over tables and chairs windy. Difficult to walk upright indy. Have to put effort into cycling downhill windy. It was windy. So I decided not to run to the Bronte and along the path to Bondi, as I had planned, but did a very dull three laps of the path inside the park. Around an hour and around 11km. Earlier in the day I had seen a navy vessel pull into the Garden Island and at lunch time the streets of Sydney were full of seamen . The naval theme continued at the end of the day as reports of a Black Hawk helicopter lost when attempting to land on the HMAS Kanimbla. The Kanimbla, that Lucy used to work on, is an Australian Navy vessel that is off Fiji ready to evac Aussies should the rumoured - almost avertised - coup take place. Most of the rest of the day was run of the mill. Chad is back in SYdney and has my Camelbak Transformer and I will take delivery on Friday. Very exciting. Got an email from Marcin back in the UK but it was light on diving news as he has been dry for a while. And that was the day that was.
