For some time I have given myself a retired criminal haircut. I have a developing donut on top so keep my hair cropped close to maintain my dignity. One of the cruel side effects of male pattern baldness is the need to cut your hair ever shorter as you lose more of it. None of that rug, deniall or comb-over bollocks for me.
Today I noticed another cruel twist of hirsute fate. Well, probably re-noticed it. My ears are covered in light, downy, fluffy hair. Some of the longer fronds stick out and probably sway gently in the breeze. It is really quite noticable against my recently scalped head and gave me quite a shock as I caught sight of myself in the bog mirror here a work.
Back, chest and shoulders (all waxed in a concession to vanity), arse, arms and legs. And now ears. All have longer hair than my head. But the ears, that really is just taking the piss.
