ebay malarky

Some oily scrotum has spoofed my eBay account. Seems I was selling Ugg boots and I've recieved a fair few messages, some from folks wondering where their boots are. One girl is in Surbiton, so not a million miles from my brother who I am sure will not me implicated in the scandal. Anyway, the malarky is thus.

I told ebay what was happening and they shut my account down and advised me I can retrieve a new password by following a few simple steps - the ones you follow when you have forgotten your password. So follow them I did. When prompted I put in my postcode, primary phone number and date of birth. But no, I apparently got them wrong and after a few attempts I was locked out. So I followed their advice and tried to register a new account.

But here is the catch; the details of my new account include my postcode, primary phone and date of birth. As well as my name and address and so on. And now I'm told I need not register because I'm already registered.

Catch 22 ahoy. But thanks to ebay support for getting back to me promptly and advising me to try and do the things I told them I have done and don't work. Ho-hum.
