morbid fascination

At lunchtime I wandered down to the harbour to watch, from the Botanical Gardens, Sydney police divers searching for a body in Farm Cove. Morbid fascination, or a diver watching the pros at work in the way a climber may watch those blokes (sexist!) that clamber over buildings and construction sites? You decide. Anyway while I was there they did not find the body so I headed back to the office and to my desk from where, between sporadic bursts of work I could continue watching the boat as it went on searching. It disappeared at around 4pm, but I did not see it head off, so I'll have to wait for the evening news to see if they located said body or decided they'd had enough or decided to look elsewhere. To date today, as I sit her with coffee to hand, not a lot else has gone on. Feeling that my eyes are once again good enough to enable me to safely cycle in to work that is what I did. I have a blind spot, but it really is not that bad and as my right eye tracks right so too does the blindspot. If I can train my right eye to focus just to the left of centre then I'm all good. Health news du jour beyond that is an appointment made to see Doctor Dan Milder, a neurologist, on Friday. And there I was thinking I could go a week without seeing a specialist of some description. At least I get an early mark on Friday, which is not to be sniffed at.
