shiny happy people

Why do estate agents put their faces on the ad boards outside of the properties they are selling? I've seen boards with just the face of the agent! Not a single shot of the property. Maybe I'd like to see what the kitchen looks like, or the garden. There is no way a property, no matter how bad, cannot be photographed to showcase a selling point (no way, no matter, cannot? sheesh, what a sentance...)

And the happy smiling face of the agent, what is that all about? This is the slightly over-groomed person who will be taking a large chunk of your cash. Unlikely to make me choose one property over another. "Well house one was nice, it had a better kitchen, a flat back garden, an extra bedroom and was twenty grand cheaper, but I just can't get past the warmth of the smile of the agent selling proprty two!"

Of course they're happy! You want to buy a house, they turn up and open the door and for that they take a wad of cash. I'd smile; easy money. Can you imagine what our streets would look like if we all put up boards with our faces grinning like idiots at the passers by, simply for doing our jobs?

Stop it. Show me the kitchen.
