Big shout-out to Scatrd who, upon reading an early depressed rant about the state of news reporting and increased police powers in New South Wales, put me on to a link to an article about said powers.

This article, according to the Sydney Morning Herald, one of the very few "better" reads in Aus, is worthy of inclusion in the ‘Technology’ section. Not the ‘News’ section.

The same story was reported in the Terrorgraph, as previously mentioned. It was on page 31, waaaaay after we got to read about the love lives of Aussie swimmers and the webcam betrayal of one of the Veronicas.

Ignorance is bliss. That is our ignorance is bliss for them.
